Charles lives with his parents and 3 older siblings in a four-room wood house with no electricity. They fetch water from a borehole which they boil for drinking and have a pit latrine that is in good condition.
Charles’s father is ill and is unemployed and his mother is the sole provider for the family on a very meager income from housekeeping. Paying medical bills, school fees, and basic necessities for her children is an extreme burden.
